Mr. Peros does it again

Since it was a while before I resumed updating the site, I discovered I had missed another of KiddCabbage's excellent remixes. This mix does a lot of what I think many artists in the video game remix community don't do: it isn't hesitant to stray from the key signature. While I obviously don't have the sheet music in front of me, the difference that makes this remix is the occasional use of what sounds like diminished and augmented chords. Many remixes never add a sharp or flat to any note in their pieces, leading to their becoming predictable and repetitive.
On the other hand, I'm not a big fan of the use of chiptunes in remixes, because my idea has always been that remixes are supposed to improve upon the poor quality of samples in the original songs. The chiptunes in the middle are OK, but towards the end, the same note repeating as a chiptune sounds out of place with the rest of the song. If I had to make any change to this song, I would change the harmony towards the end to eliminate the chiptunes.
All in all, a great work, which avoids many of the pitfalls of remixes - but I can't give it a 7 because the chiptunes seem out of place.
