Audio Overdrive

Win cash just for submitting songs!
Contest ends April 30

remixsquared's Audio Overdrive is a one-month contest where remixsquared will give away cash to artists who submit their music or music videos. The contest will run from April 3 to 30, 2013, and $40 will be split between the artists who have submitted the most highly-rated songs to the site during that period.

What you can win

• The $40 will be split into 40 prizes of $1 each. Each artist may win nothing, $1, or all $40, depending on how many songs he or she posts.
• $25 will be distributed to the 25 highest-rated songs that have at least three ratings each. An artist may win more than once in this category.
• $15 will be distributed at random, at $1 per song, across the remaining songs that were submitted in April but did not receive enough ratings, or which did not rate highly enough to win a prize previously. Every song will have an equal chance, so artists submitting many songs may win more than once and will have a greater chance to win many times.

Criteria for eligibility

• Songs must be submitted between April 3, 2013, at 12:00:00am EDT, and April 30, 2013, at 11:59:59PM EDT.
• Ratings between April 3, 2013, at 12:00:00am EDT, and May 5, 2013, at 11:59:59PM EDT, will be considered as the "ratings period."

Penalties and ineligible songs

• Songs already submitted to remixsquared before April 3, 2013 are ineligible for the competition, but revisions to songs made during the contest period where the original was submitted before April 3 are eligible. Such revisions must differ significantly from the original works to be eligible.
• For songs that are revised during the contest period, the highest rated version is the only version of that song eligible for consideration.
• Songs which do not meet remixsquared's criteria for inclusion are ineligible. The exclusion criteria are listed in the What you may upload section and include (among other things) works that have nothing to do with video games, copyright violations, and patent nonsense.
• Artists are prohibited from posting links that direct users to vote songs without listening to the music or explaining the purpose of the competition (ex. "Go here and help me out by clicking ten stars"). Links encouraging the downvoting of other users' songs without explanation are also prohibited. Links or embedding that encourage users to make an honest vote on a song are allowed.
• Deleted songs are ineligible for the competition regardless of rating.

Other rules

• Contest winners will be notified by an E-Mail to the address they have on file in their remixsquared profiles. Winners who do not reply to the E-Mail by May 15, 2013 at 11:59:59pm EDT will forfeit their prizes.
• Artists do not have to take any action other than posting songs and replying to the winners' E-Mail to enter the contest.
• This contest is void where prohibited by law.
• Artists who wish to challenge a mistake in the results may do so between May 5 and May 10, 2013. No challenges will be considered after May 10, 2013, at 11:59:59pm EDT. The ruling of remixsquared staff on challenges is final.
