UPDATE JAN. 12TH: Upped the volume of the kick drums and improved overall sound quality.

SO I'VE GOT SOME EXPLAINING TO DO.

I wanted to enter a song into DJtheS' "Final Destination" contest. After I had entered, however, I got an idea of how to improve the song. After updating the song, I checked the compo to see if my entry had also updated... which it didnt'. I removed my entry to see if I could re-enter with the updated version, but strangely, it wouldn't let me pick the song at all. So I began to panic, deleted the old version entirely, re-uploaded it here, and probably made a complete idiotof myself in the process.

I really apologize for clogging up the new song feed like this. Seriously, I feel like a total heel right now.

ANYWAYS, This is a remix of Metal Sonic's stage theme from Sonic The Fighters, created for DJtheS' Final Destination compo. I wanted to make the song really, really dark and bassy - a fitting theme for an epic showdown between the blue blur and his metal counterpart. I also mixed in a tidbit from Sonic 3 & Knuckle's Death Egg Zone music - see if you can spot it!

Hope you enjoy this one!
And... I still feel stupid.

Oops! You found a bug, and thanks for pointing it out. For some reason, I can't send you a private message (did you disable them?) so I sent you an E-Mail about this problem. It will be resolved in the next release.

As to the song itself, I like how it builds up from silence and the theme gradually appears. Songs don't always have to begin loud and strong - sometimes the listener's attention can be grabbed in other ways. This song just exudes darkness and tension, and I can't recall a video game song that sounds as threatening as this one. The mood of this song is awesome.
