Final Fantasy 8 - The Landing

Ys 3 - Elderm Mountains

In a metal style with a string quartet added (and there's a harp in there somewhere too).  The style of the original song worked well to give it a slightly proggy tinge.  The Ys 3 section is a little more of a power metal style, at least when the guitar comes back in.

My EQ skills were and still are subpar, so the guitars got kind of massacred when I was trying to fit the strings and drums in.

I like a lot of the drum lines/fills in the FF8 section of this song.  Extended tom fill!

This remix has so much promise.  The guitar playing is awesome.  The songs fit together very well.  The arrangement is exceptional.  But the violin is so fake-sounding and makes it hard to appreciate the rest of the song.

I'd be willing to give a try at performing the violin live if you agree that the sample is holding back the song.  Do you still have the sheet music for this one?
