Here's my entry for Composition Combat. It's by no means finalized, as I do want to go back and change some parts, add some parts, make certain sections less repetitive, etc. Alas, I made this song late last night and I haven't had much time.
I decided to take advantage of personal interpretation and made a theme that conveyed a multi-location setting that the story expresses, as opposed to going the easy route and making electronic music just because it's in a futuristic setting.
Great composition. *edited*

This song is great! Unfortunately during the later moments, there are some terrible clipping issues. Must have pushed the volume too hard.
*edit: after downloading the original WAV file, I can see that the converted MP3 file was corrupted due to compression issues on the site. I've changed my rating. *
Excellent Track!

This may be a bit counter-intuitive as I'm competing directly against you, but I believe hands down that this song is the best entry in this competition. I love the melody and counterpoint of the string section, and the reverb on the drums give it a huge sound that just adds to the epic feel. Fantastic instrumentation and crescendos. While I was pretty certain that an electronic soundscape was the way to go for this competition, you've convinced me otherwise. Best of luck, and I look forward to hearing more from you!
Very nearly a 7 star track...

I don't really believe that you CAN'T EVER give 7 stars, there's a reason the point is there after all. This is definitely close to what I imagine when I think "computer game music". The atmosphere is very present, can be used for most scenarios both heroic and threatening and there's a strong main melody that can be used throughout the game in different varieties. What struck me most was the flute, I'll have to ask you what you're using for it at some point, hahah.
The reason this song loses any marks for me is something you're all ready aware of. The arrangement needs some work in order to emphasise the melodies more, but honestly, that's all I can say about it. I'm looking forward to hearing this track when you finish it.
