Yesterday, I analyzed the results for the Audio Overdrive contest. First, I want to thank everyone for participating. We received quite a few new songs, and they were of excellent quality. Some visitors left some very positive reviews in the forums for these works.

Unfortunately, the analysis revealed that there were no winners who met the three vote criteria. As you may recall, $25 of the contest was dedicated to the highest rated songs, submitted during the contest period, which had received at least three ratings.

However, the remaining $15, which will be distributed randomly to participants regardless of song rating, will still be awarded. To decide upon these winners, I will be posting a list of the submitted songs eligible for the awards in this thread tonight. The songs will be posted in random order. Two forum members will be selected to pick numbers at random without knowing the other member's selection. The winners will be the 15 songs in the list's order, wrapped to the beginning if necessary, with the first song being determined by the following formula: (A * B) mod (total number of songs). Each of those fifteen songs will receive $1.

I have to say that I'm legitimately shocked that nobody was eligible for the $25 prize pot. Something to sweeten up the deal for a future contest, I suppose?
I think that if we ever try this again, we should do it after college semester finals are over. I suspect that I'm not the only one who spent the last two weeks absolutely cramming for finals.

I completed the analysis of the results and decided that everyone who submitted a song during the contest period will be paid. That's because there were sixteen eligible songs, with fifteen dollars available. I'll just pay an extra dollar out of my pocket for the sake of simplicity.

The next phase of this contest is a several-day period where competitors may contest the results. This period, as stated in the rules, ends on May 10, but I will extend it until Saturday. Here is the list of songs, each of which will be paid $1 if there are no objections before Saturday:
