Site: Change Song detail's font color?
Huddini · March 20, 2013 at 05:38 UTC
Here is a general page I am talking about, using my own unpolished mess of a song:
http://remixsquared.com/remixes/3114-v2-Huddini-Ace_Attorney__Cornered_Fate_ConceptI notice that I keep skipping over all of the details where it gives you info like "Release date, version", etc. And I also noticed I instinctually skip over the details written in the description textbox.
I know why, and it's because of the font color you guys are using...Whatever color code is this:
777777
Whenever I see this type of "grey" color on a program/website, I usually associate it as "do not worry about this" or "You're not allowed to use this".
I would think it'd be better to attract the eyes of the viewer using a darker color...say, a very dark grey font...or just pure black :P

Hi Huddini,
I experimented with this for a while and came up with the following, which you should view for yourself and offer feedback on. Follow the steps below and reply with your thoughts.
1. If you don't have Chrome, then install the latest version and use it for this test.
2. Visit
http://remixsquared.com/remixes/3100-v1 ... ss_Matters using Chrome.
3. Next to "Release Date," mouse over the date text and right-click.
4. Click "Inspect element."
5. On the bottom right, look for the "styles" box, and expand it if necessary.
6. Without scrolling down, one of the first elements displayed is ".formTd." Next to "color" under ".formTd," click on "#777" and a text box appears. Change "#777" to "#333" and press [ENTER].
7. In that same "styles" window, scroll down until you see "body." Next to "color" under "body," click on "#666" and a text box appears. Change "#666" to "#333" and press [ENTER].
After performing these steps, your issue with light text will be addressed. Do you like the way the new page looks, or do you prefer the lighter text?

Hey quintin, I'd follow your instructions and see how it looks, but the link is broken (I'm on latest version of chrome too!)

Hey just tried it, looks much better as now my eyes are naturally attracted to the black text and more focused.
