Progress on site stability

I was wondering if anyone could weigh in on the progress that has been made on site stability. For the past few weeks, rather than developing new features, I've been fixing bugs. While many bugs have been resolved, my sense is that there are still bugs that need to be resolved, some of which are of lesser severity than the ones we have already fixed.
Would it be a good idea to, instead of hosting a contest in April, offer some sort of prize like Google does for finding bugs? Of course, I can't pay $600 for each security flaw like they do, but a simple $1 fee for every issue found might go a long way towards fixing things that might turn away new contributors.
1. Would you rate the site as more or less stable than the average website?
2. Do you think that incentivizing people to find bugs would be a good way to improve stability?
