This is part of a collection of songs that I composed for my friend's Peggle-like game, "Ice Breakers". These songs represent my first foray into video game composition. To play and hear the songs in-game, please visit www.nsparisi.com/portfolio/icebreakers
"Absolute Zero" starts with a trade between two of the main instruments in the collection, trumpet and flute (the "journey" and the "mystery", if you recall from the theme description), driven by a clave pattern played the drums. The urgency of the A sections give way to a B section that is supposed to sound like a breath of fresh air amidst an exciting final fight. Also, it turned out that the harp didn't make an appearance until the second to last song of the game even though it was originally planned to be used a lot more.
*Note: It was only later that I found out the final stage design was in the form of a supernova. So much for the title.
