Daniel Jimenez (professionally known as Rozen) is a Mexican-born composer and producer currently based in Los Angeles, California. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he excels at composing music for media, including film, television, and video games. His work in video production ranges from music videos to behind the scenes and live performances.
Rozen’s music favors a dramatic style that incorporates both choral and orchestral ensembles, though he writes and arranges for a variety of instrumentations. He has worked extensively with several choirs, including the Video Game Music Choir and the Audire Soundtrack Choir, the latter of which he founded in 2012.
Rozen served as an Assistant Director for the ambitious fan-arranged album Harmony of Heroes. The album featured musicians from around the world collaborating in celebration of Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros.™ franchise.
His recent work includes an extensive repertoire of video game arrangements from franchises such as The Legend of Zelda, Hearthstone, Metroid, Kingdom Hearts, and more. What defines his covers is the focus on the listener’s immersion into the world of the game.
